The end.
I went home this weekend. It was really nice. I saw my family, and my old friends, and enjoyed the not-so-little festival in my home town.
In the poem "A finger, two dots, then me" there is a segement where things are examined in life and referred to as 'holy'. The time you talked to your dad when the tv broke- holy;; when your grandmother gave you advice because she was dying- holy;; etc. I was thinking about the holy moments in my life, or moments that just made me incredibly happy.
Most recently? I found out my old youth pastor and his wife just had their baby girl. I haven't seen her, they've moved away, but it made my heart very happy for them. I think she will be a blessing to people she meets, just like her parents.
I remembered high school for a while this weekend. Even though it sucked sometimes, and there are still a lot of horrible things there, I realized I really genuinely loved a lot of the people I met there. My teachers, and my friends. My friends especially.
I am happy for my friend Chrissy. She is dating a really nice guy right now, and they'll probably get married. I like to make fun of them, antagonize her, but it really gladdens my heart to see her so happy with him. She deserves it.
I love my Human Experience in Design class. I love the hands on approach we take; the quality of work and action we have. It's refreshing, and I like going to class each day.
Life is okay. Now I just need something to sink my teeth into.
